I've had mine pierced for almost 4 years and recently I have been contemplating taking them out for good. I got them when I was young and definitely dumb, but have always loved them.I have a horseshoe in that stretched out a bit in it. 6.I'm not sure how you sleep but one of the things I first did before delving into getting ear piercings was a ear pillow. I know it's looked down on in this sub, but every single bump I had would only go down after I used tea tree oil. I could have the bump for a two weeks and I used tea tree oil once, and it goes down after a day.The good news is that dry patches and crusting around a piercing are completely normal. They're even a positive sign that the site is healing normally. Dry, crusty patches should be cleaned regularly until fully healed—a process that can last anywhere from two to five weeks. But some cases may require a bit more attention.Septum's normally heal faster but changing it out too early can cause irritation to your nose. I've nicked my septum before in the early stages of healing and the irritation and swelling does not go away for awhile. If you notice any pain ir discomfort go straight to the doctors because mouth infections are pretty nasty. While frustrating, this may be better for your body in the long run. As far as care goes, I'd recommend sea salt soaks (SSS) 1-2X's per day IF your ears are feeling itchy or irritated.Something other people haven't mentioned: if you bruise easily it might happen that your ear around your piercing will as well (even when pierced with a needle). Your lobe will be very tender and sensitive for a few days but it's not bad at all. You shouldn't feel it if you leave it alone :).
